During the New Sith Wars, a ship filled with refugees that were fleeing the Ruusan campaign came out of hyperspace at the wrong co-ordinates and crashed on Kro Var on the Mandalore System. The survivors eventually joined the mandalorian clans for survival;having a considerable number of Force Sensitives amongst them led to the creation of Force organization, the Shapers of Kro Var, developed from among the clans and they played a key role in the inter-clan conflicts.

Some point during galactic history, the grey jedi Biirta Baadu would encounter the Shapers of Kro Var while on his travels alongside his apprentice Hard Fett, and the two would use the Shapers philosophy to organize the Baadu Order. 

During Hard Fett's reign as Mandalore and Shogun of the Baadu Order, Kro-Var grew into an enormous city-temple complex divided into its different elemental continents, each focused on training the initiates on use of the natural elements and the Balance of the Force.
